Here are some recommended snorkeling spots on Mahé Island:
Beau Vallon Beach: Located a short distance from Mare Anglaise, Beau Vallon Beach offers calm and shallow waters, making it an excellent spot for snorkeling. You can explore the underwater world and encounter various fish species and possibly some sea turtles.
Anse Royale: Situated on the southeast coast of Mahé, Anse Royale boasts a beautiful stretch of beach with clear waters and vibrant marine life. Snorkeling here can be rewarding, and you may spot colorful reef fish and other fascinating sea creatures.
Anse Intendance: While the waves can be stronger at Anse Intendance, it still offers opportunities for snorkeling during calmer periods. Be cautious and check the current conditions before snorkeling here.
Baie Ternay Marine National Park: Not far from Mare Anglaise, this marine park is a protected area with rich biodiversity. The park is accessible by boat, and guided snorkeling tours are available, allowing you to explore some of the most pristine underwater environments in Seychelles.
